What is Sodium Laureth Sulfate?

Sodium Laureth Sulfate is the gentler version of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). It has been written about the evils of SLS (because it serves as detergent), and how it is irritating and possibly carcinogenic (or potentially to cause cancer). However, at this point, I feel comfortable using Sodium Laureth Sulfate.

But, please stay away from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Look at the label before purchasing any shampoo. The highest labled ingredient has its highest percentage.

If you're worried about the SLS, then I'd suggest you not using any personal care products including cleansers, toothpastes and mouthwash etc.

It seems that emails relating to SLS been circulating all around, we should bear in mind perhaps, and be cautious on our children.
